Enhanced Eye Examinations
Our Enhanced Eye Examination is a comprehensive eye exam that goes beyond the standard tests typically performed during a routine eye exam. It includes additional tests and procedures to thoroughly evaluate your eye health and vision.

During an Enhanced Eye Examination our Optometrist will perform tests such as a retinal scan, which captures detailed images of the inside of your eyes, and a visual field test, which measures your peripheral vision. These tests can help detect early signs of eye diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration.

Our Enhanced Eye Examination is an important tool in maintaining your eye health and ensuring clear vision. It can detect potential problems earlier on, allowing for prompt treatment and minimizing the risk of irreversible vision loss. We allow longer appointment times as we understand the importance of in-depth discussions about your eye care needs and lifestyle requirements.

Our Optometrists strongly recommend all patients upgrade to our Enhanced Eye Examination.

What will the Enhanced Eye Examination determine?
01
Eye Conditions
During our Enhanced Eye Examination we will perform a more in-depth thorough check of the health of your eyes, allowing earlier detection of potential eye problems. Regular eye examinations are essential as many eye conditions have no symptoms until they become more advanced.
02
General Health
Most people don’t realise that an eye examination is an important general health check. During your appointment we can detect several changes to your health by looking at your eyes such as high blood pressure and diabetes. As part of your Enhanced Eye Examination, we will perform a scan of the back of your eyes and take retinal photos, this helps us to detect any changes to your health quicker.
03
Your Prescription
We will accurately assess your vision and prescription, to ensure that your glasses and contact lenses provide the clearest most comfortable vision. Many people are unaware that their vision falls short of the legal requirements for driving until they have an examination.
04
Advice
Our longer appointment times allow our Optometrists to discuss your visual and lifestyle needs, to ensure that the advice you’re given is personally tailored to your day-to-day needs. We will take the time to discuss your options and make sure that you’re happy with your glasses and contact lenses. You won’t feel rushed during your appointment and will have plenty of time to ask any questions you may have about your eyes.
